Watch our commercials and tell the world!

Posted by Paul

Today was an exciting day for us. The advertising agency, Y&R, has been working with us pro bono and developed our Princess Margaret ‘creed.’ Y&R created the ‘In Our Lifetime’ addition to our vision and ambition so now we are committed to ‘Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime.’ For months, the great creative and strategy team at Y&R has worked on a concept to truly “tell our story.” This has been a major challenge. We have incredible patient stories plus complex research stories and clinical stories as well. We have so many stories and so many faces of those with cancer, or those helping to fight cancer. The stories are moving, emotional and complex. Frankly, I didn’t think we could ever ‘capture’ these stories in a TV commercial. I was wrong. Y&R has blown us away with a creative concept that they shot in 90-second, 60-second and 30-second lengths. The 90-second ‘In Our Lifetime’ commercial is below. Please click on it and watch yourself.

Today, we had a special screening for all the hospital staff and patients who were involved with the filming. We also invited the entire research and clinical staff to come out and see the new creative. The response was electric from our staff and patients. We are now taking the commercials out to the media in the hope that TV partners will air these amazing ads as part of their Public Service Announcement commitments. We hope to air the creative, pro bono, in many different electronic outlets, both traditional and online.

Watch for yourself. Let us know what you think. Send the commercial on to someone you know. Get the word out! We can’t thank Y&R enough for their incredible work. The commercials capture our story and our vision. Thanks to Y&R and all those who volunteered their time and talent. We are moving forward, together, to ‘Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime.’ If you can help us get the commercials on air anywhere, please let us know.
