Volunteers and Snow Storms!

Posted by Paul

Last week, in the midst of a major snow storm, we celebrated our many hundreds of volunteers who have held events to benefit PMH and our cause “to conquer cancer”. It was an amazing turn out of volunteers even though the city was in a near standstill. We benefitted from nearly 145 events last year and we always like to hold a night to celebrate the contributions of our many volunteers. We have events from pond hockey to bridge tournaments, from galas to auctions to walks and runs….you name it. We laugh together, dance together, quilt together, sell lemonade together, make jewelry together and do other things together to raise awareness and funds fro cancer research and clinical care for cancer patients at PMH. We expect the economy will be tough this year but hope our volunteers will keep stepping up and stepping out to support PMH. Even if we raise fewer funds this year it’s very important to keep the events and the connections alive and well. We are grateful for our volunteers and each and every person who helps out our cause is a hero in our books. THANKS TO THE VOLUNTEERS! We see the best of human behavior through our volunteers!
