What a day on University Avenue! The Campbell Family Institute signage went up on 620 University Avenue and now the Campbell Family Cancer Research Institute officially has a home! Seeing the signs go up today is quite an occasion for all of us who have worked along with Linda, Gaye and Susan-The Campbell’s, to launch this major new Institute. Dr. Tak Mak, Dr. Ben Neel, Dr, Bob Bell, Dr. Mary Gospodarowicz and the rest of the scientists and clinicians now officially have a home in the Campbell Family Building. The long term and historic support of the Campbell Family is greatly appreciated. A new star is born on University Avenue and The Campbell Family Institute will be a world beater. The fight to conquer cancer in our lifetime has an address and a building thanks to the Campbells! Please drive by or walk by if you are in the neighbourhood and have a look. The signs will be lit at night once the power is run to the signs so it should look amazing on this wonderful art deco building. Old building, new science. Financial capital plus human capital plus creative capital come together in the Campbell Family Building!
