We celebrated a donation of $1,250,000 from RBC for the Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Centre last week. Emmanuelle and Allan Slaight with Gary and Donna Slaight invited a group of us to their gorgeous condo for a few drinks and to say thanks to RBC. Gord Nixon, Tony Fell and Shari Austin from RBC all were present along with Gaye Mitchell. We also celebrated with Jack Fleishmann head of BNN and Phillip Crawley head of the Globe & Mail. Drs. David McCready and Mary G. spoke on behalf of the patients and staff. It was just a wonderful, passionate, lively and beautiful celebration. We presented Emmanuelle with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a $25 gift card to her favourite restaurant – Swiss Chalet! Emmanuelle is such a powerful, positive and extraordinary force. One day, all cancer patients will benefit from the novel innovation being built at the Gattuso Rapid Diagnostic Centre!
