Saying Thanks! The Gift of Charity

Posted by Paul

We’re already in to August and it’s been an extraordinary summer for The Princess Margaret. We have so much to be grateful for. It is difficult to express our thanks to our community of supporters, volunteers, donors, and ambassadors. From the Brazilian Ball, The Campbell Family, the Ride to Conquer Cancer, the upcoming Weekend to End Breast Cancer….we enjoy superb support from the community we serve. We have literally thousands of supporters. We are extremely grateful for the support we receive and try our best to thank individuals and groups. It’s hard to find words to thank people appropriately for the support and commitment to “Help Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime”. I know our staff, doctors, nurses, health care workers of every description who serve cancer patients and do research are very grateful for the support from our community. You may notice some full page messages in the newspapers on August 6th and August 9th which convey our thanks. The headline reads “Charity Is the Greatest Gift of All”. I saw this inspired line on a grave marker at Mount Pleasant Cemetery a few weeks back. This line reminded me of the “gift” that is “charity”. Charity comes in many shapes and sizes, many forms and descriptions, but the “gifts” that come to Princess Margaret on a daily basis are of immeasurable value and are extraordinarily appreciated. It is said people can give their “time, talent and treasure”….we benefit from all three. To everyone who reads this blog, many thanks. Pass this message along via email to any and all who deserve to be recognized and “thanked”. We are GRATEFUL for the GIFT OF CHARITY! Many thanks and enjoy the beautiful summer weather!
