Lifetime Achievement Award

Tonight at 5:30 we are giving Mr. Tony Fell the PMH Lifetime Achievement Award. Tony has been a tireless supporter of PMH. In particular, he led the first capital campaign for $50 million which helped build the “new” PMH. As PMH celebrates its 50th anniversary, its important for us to recognize all of the thousands of volunteers and community of supporters who have served PMH so faithfully. Tonight, we expect about 350 friends and supporters to jam the ballroom at the Royal York as we pay tribute to Tony. Many many thanks Tony for all your good work for PMH and other charities!

This is also the final day to buy your Welcome Home sweepstakes ticket. We have just a few thousand tickets left and we are celebrating the great success of our brand new lottery. The PMH lotteries are a huge source of consistent funding for the cancer research enterprise. We are also grateful for all the PMH lottery ticket buyers who support our wonderful lotteries. It snowed last night and I am reminded the holidays and a new year will soon be upon us.

What a spectacular year it has been for our cause “To conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime”. We have much work to do and miles to go but the staff and volunteers at PMH are amazing.

On Saturday I am acting as MC for the Schulich School of Business annual alumni event. I am honored to play a role and particularly look forward to seeing many alumni and staff from Schulich. Dean Deszo Horvath has done a superb job at Schulich and this event is good one!
