Joe Finley is an inspiration. Joe is a patient at PMH and he is the founder and force of nature behind the incredible “Joe’s Team Triathalon”. Joe is soft spoken, smiles a lot and is a very successful business person. I have got to know Joe through his leadership and involvement with the Joe’s Team which will be held this Saturday up on Lake Joseph in Muskoka. Joe is the kind of person who can set a vision and get people to enthusiastically follow along. People have a hard time saying no to Joe and his cause. Joe Finley represents the “best of the human spirit”. He is courageous, strong and kind. He makes things happen….good things. Joe has a superb family around him and friends like Larry Chapman and many many others.
Joe’s Team has grown beyond a group of friends and is one of the most successful fundraising events of the summer. Already, with nearly a week before the event, over $500,000 has been raised toward a lofty goal of $700,000. Working with and supporting people like Joe Finley is an absolute pleasure. We are grateful to have people like Joe supporting Princess Margaret. Last summer doing the Joe’s Team triathalon was a highlight of the summer for me and my daughter Sarah. Superbly organized and planned, this is an example of what a group of like-minded people can do when they pull together. Saturday night BBQ and performance by the Jim Cuddy band is part of the magic of the event. Joe’s Team is a celebration of hope, friendship, friendly competition, and our vision to Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime. We are grateful to all who volunteer, participate, sponsor and support this event. We are grateful to the CNIB for the support and use of their camp. Most of all, we are grateful to the inspired and inspirational Joe Finley. Check out the event at www.joesteam.ca.
Thanks Joe!
