The new banners on the front of PMH are up and feature four of our most esteemed colleagues. One banner features Dr. Tak Mak and Dr. Pam Ohashi, representing the best the world has to offer in discovery science for cancer. The second banner features Dr. Jon Irish and Dr. David Jaffray, representing the best of clinical care and related technology for cancer patients. The third banner represents the extraordinary Joe Finley, founder of Joe’s Team Triathalon which raised $1 million last summer. Joe represents all the patients and donors and volunteers who have helped us in immeasurable ways. The “innovate, translate, educate” mantra is one that Dr. Irish has used in many of his excellent speeches and presentations to donors… now if he can just stay on his bike during training rides. Of course, Dr. Mary G is featured somewhat larger than life (but only moderately so) on the front of the hospital with our Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime message. This new signage will stay up through the holiday season and is meant to communicate our thanks to the staff, volunteers, donors, and particularly clinicians and scientists who make us one of the top 5!
