This is
my first blog – ever. If you are reading this, thank you for visiting. It is
here that I will take time to talk about some of the “stuff” that is happening
at The Princess Margaret, that doesn’t always make it to the newspapers or
television sets. I also get to see a lot of what happens behind the scenes, and
it’s here where I relish in the amazing research and care that is taking place
for the thousands of people who will hear the words this year, “you have
cancer.”
As we
started 2008 at the Foundation, we did with a new creed. The definition of
Creed is a set of beliefs or principals.
Everyone at The Princess Margaret, has taken the creed under their wings and
believes that the war on cancer, will be won. We didn’t need a creed to help us
become motivated – no. Put simply, it is our message to the world, a united
message, that we are conquering cancer at Canada’s cancer research centre,
The Princess Margaret. It’s a simple message but speaks truth. That we will
Conquer Cancer, In Our Lifetime.
