Dr. Mary G. and I attended the Global Breast Cancer Conference at the Harvard School of Public Health. Both Mary and I also gave presentations at the conference. Mary spoke to global issues for breast cancer given her involvement with the UICC in Geneva and her leadership role at PMH. I spoke about harnessing the power of “Passion Capital” that is such a powerful, tangible force in the breast cancer community. The conference was on November 4 and 5th and was attended by doctors, researchers and leaders from literally around the world. The passion and the power of the breast cancer cause shone through in this globally important event. Dr. Mary is extraordinarily well known and she introduced me to many in her global network. The Princess Margaret is instantly recognized by leaders in breast cancer from around the world. I spoke with many about the Gattuso Rapid Diagnosis Centre for breast cancer at PMH. Lots and lots of interest in this important initiative. On November 19th, Thursday, we will get a full days support and story telling from docs and patients as CP 24 steps up again for PMH. CP 24 is a force of nature and we are grateful to them for helping us tell this important story. Tune in to CP 24 this Thursday and you’ll hear the GRDC story front page to back cover!!!
