Friday night, the Canadian Marketing Association named PMHF the Gold Medalist for the Ride to Conquer Cancer. The RTCC benefits the Campbell Family Institute at PMH. We are grateful for this recognition and thank our community of supporters and riders for helping make this such a successful event. This morning, Dec.01, Dr. Ben Neel and other hospital and research leadership rang the opening bell of the Toronto Stock Exchange. We are fully into our “Gift of Stock” program. We hope the tough stock market doesn’t dampen our donors ability or desire to donate stock at this time of year. We have a new board member, Mr. Farsad Kiani, joining our board at PMHF and we are excited by Farsad’s passion for our cause and his history of leadership in philanthropy. Dr. Tak Mak just finished his scientific advisory board meeting and Tak and team are doing stellar work. I have a close friend who is struggling with his cancer right now……I am reminded constantly of the value of good health and the terrible terrible disease that is cancer. For all of you who have lost a loved one or are dealing with cancer yourself, your stories inspire us. I hope good health and good friends are yours as we approach the holiday season.
