On Tuesday this week the 8th Annual Behind The Scenes took place at PMH. I am extremely proud to be part of the PMH Foundation team that worked so hard to put it together. Through this great event we were able to showcase how The Princess Margaret is one of the Top 5 Cancer Research Centres in the world to our friends, supporters and donors.
Many of the doctors and researchers came to the event and put on several great presentations. I was able to attend the Immunotherapy Discover & New Drug Development session presented by Dr. Tak Mak, Dr. Mark Minden and Dr. Malcolm Moore. It was a great presentation that was very informative for those who attended.
I also received a congratulating message from Vic Tyrer who is a Senior Policy Advisor for the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. Thanks to him for the great words and to all at the Foundation for your hard work in making the event happen.
On another note, I’m looking forward to the Brazilian Ball at the end of May. There isn’t a day that goes by were I am not reminded about how inspiring Anna Maria de Souza was and how she and her husband Ivan have done so much for the foundation.
